Our impact at a recent programme for Strengthscope®
Even before our programme, Strengthscope® had great results for inclusion and belonging in their annual employee survey and a culture measure. We therefore knew improvements would be difficult to gain. Indeed, we anticipated some measures would reduce, based on increased awareness of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and all of what they entail in practice.
We collected responses to the following questions before and after our programme. Some of the most impactful outcomes included.

A couple of measures decreased. Ultimately we were all pleased with this. We would suggest the possibility of being 100% intentionally inclusive, all of the time, of all diversity (especially when you apply a global lens) is impossible. So, the reduction from 100% to 88%., showing increased awareness of what it really takes to be intentionally inclusive feels really positive. Similarly we are pleased that people will hopefully be more motivated to build intentionally more diverse and inclusive professional networks.

Some additional quotes from attendees
Describing the impact the programme
"I have found the programme genuinely transformational. I have learned so much about DEI issues, how to be more inclusive in my interactions and practice, the importance of language, how to use my privilege for the benefit of others, to name but a few. I know that I am still only taking baby steps but I absolutely feel committed to doing more around DEI at Strengthscope and outside and I would like to thank Alison for being a major part of that journey."
"Pivotal, transformative and direction-changing. The programme has reinforced our commitment to DEI for me personally, for Strengthscope internally, in the work that we want to do in wider community and in our offer to clients. Thank you."
"Personally, I've been able to hear people talk about their identities and experiences in a very open and honest way - this has been really powerful. Especially those with less privilege, it is still such a taboo topic in workplaces, and hearing the conversations happening has been impactful."
"I thought I was in a good place to start - and my intentions were, but my knowledge was not. There were some significant emotional conflicts including shame and anger - though I don't feel personally responsible, some of the bias and -isms have been perpetrated by people that match my demographic type. This was difficult to reconcile and I am still in the process of learning how to be a more proactive ally."
"My learning journey involved a lot of self-awareness and reflective learning. At some points there was discomfort and challenge, but it led to honest conversation within the group which I really appreciate."
"The session on privilege was really powerful and has provided more questions than answers so this will be ongoing."
About Al's facilitation
"Her kindness and guidance were exceptional on a very emotive set of topics. She was able to be both encouraging and challenging and help some people find a voice that they had not been able to express to their colleagues before. I wouldn't hesitate to work with her again!"
"Her openness and willingness to share her own experiences and perspective was really helpful in bringing some of the topics to life. She created spaces that were safe and trusted, whilst also being challenging and making you stop and question your own beliefs, prejudice and position."
